Finerva stores account and authentication information, including your email address, provider identity, sessions, locale, reporting currency, and notification settings. It stores the financial information you enter, including accounts, balances, transactions, transfers, categories, budgets, plans, tags, and reconciliation records. If notifications are enabled, it stores an app installation identifier and push token.
We use this data to authenticate you, synchronize and display your financial records, calculate reports and plans, deliver requested reminders, secure the service, prevent abuse, and provide support. Finerva does not sell personal data and does not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
The mobile app keeps an encrypted offline projection on your device. Access tokens remain in memory; refresh credentials and database keys use device-only secure storage. Receipt images and extracted receipt text remain on-device and are not uploaded or retained by Finerva.
Finerva uses Apple and Google for optional sign-in, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service for notifications, email infrastructure for authentication messages, and hosting/database infrastructure to operate the service. These providers process only the data needed for their role under their own terms and privacy obligations.
We retain account and financial data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Delete account in the app. After confirmation, the account and associated financial data, authentication identities, active sessions, and notification registrations are deleted immediately. The app then removes its encrypted financial data from the device.
You can edit financial records and preferences in the app, disable notifications in your device settings, request account deletion in the app or through our public deletion page, or contact us to ask about access, correction, portability, or privacy rights applicable where you live.
